About Dr. J. Wade Nichols

Dr. J. Wade Nichols was born and raised in Newberry,

SC, attended Newberry College and graduated in 1972.

He then attended the Medical University of South

Carolina, where he received his Doctor of Dental

Medicine in 1975. Dr. Nichols completed his Certificate

in Endodontics in 1980 from the Medical University of

Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of

Dentistry. Dr. Nichols was a clinical teaching assistant

at the Department of Endodontics at the Medical College

of Virginia from 1978-1980 and Clinical Assistant

Professor, Department of Endodontics, at the Medical

University of South Carolina from 1980-1988.

Since 1980, Dr. Nichols' practice has been limited to Endodontics, where he performs routine as well as difficult and complex endodontic procedures, including endodontic surgery and the treatment of traumatic injuries. Dr. Nichols employs state of the art equipment, including Endodontic Microscopes, Digital X-Rays and I.V. sedation (if requested).

Dr. Nichols is an active member in many professional organizations, including The American Association of Endodontists, The South Carolina Association of Endodontists, The American Dental Association, The South Carolina Dental Association, The Charleston, The Grand Strand and The Pee Dee Dental Societies. Dr. Nichols is currently on staff at the Grand Strand General Hospital in Myrtle Beach.

Dr. Nichols and his wife reside in the Myrtle Beach area, and have two grown daughters. Dr. Nichols is an avid fisherman and hunter and loves the outdoors.
